Making a Living on a Living Planet

The Environmental Justice Working Group, of the School of Global Environmental Sustainability, and the Department of Political Science, are pleased to host Michael Leon Guerrero, Executive Director of the Labor Network for Sustainability (http://www.labor4sustainability.org/about/staff/) and Roddenberry Fellow (https://roddenberryfellowship.org/fellow/michael-leon-guerrero/). Michael’s visit is co-sponsored by the Departments of Ethnic Studies, Philosophy and Sociology, the SoGES Student Sustainability Center and the Fort Collins Sustainability Group.

On Monday afternoon, February 12, Michael will lead an informal discussion “Just Transition: Just What Is It?” This will take place at the Lory Student Center, room 322, from 2:00 to 3:30.

On Monday evening, February 12, Michael will talk on “Making a Living on a Living Planet,” to be followed by discussion. This will take place at Avo’s, 605 North Mason, from 5:00 to 6:30.

The Labor Network for Sustainability is dedicated to strengthening the relationship between the labor and environmental movements by developing policies necessary for an economy that is both just and environmentally sustainable, and a political strategy for realizing them (http://www.labor4sustainability.org).
