"Scarred Lands and Wounded Lives: The Environmental Footprint of War"

Join us for the free showing of the one-hour documentary film "Scarred Lands and Wounded Lives, The Environmental Footprint of War." This compelling documentary exposes the unprecedented scale of damage resulting from war which has been ‘largely underestimated, under reported, even ignored’ and argues for public scrutiny of the ecological and human impact of war as essential to a more sustainable and secure world.

After the showing, we will discuss the role of peacemakers and other advocates in calling for the reduction of environmental exploitation resulting from war and armed conflict, and the role of the US military – "the elephant in the room."

Sponsored by concerned citizens with support from the Fort Collins Community Action Network. For more information contact us at info@fccan.org.
